Rice babies!!!

We are so excited about our rice babies! Don't forget that the children are bringing their rice baby to school on Monday, April 11th (the day we get back from Spring Break).

Today your child will receive information for you to help them complete about when they were a baby. Please send these papers back to school when they bring their rice baby on April 11th.

How to make a rice baby:
1.            Fill one knee high stocking or large sock with rice. The rice baby needs to weigh the same amount as your child did when they were born.
2.          Tie a knot at the end of the knee high to secure that the rice does not fall out.
3.          Dress your baby and make it look like your child. This is where you can be creative and have fun J Feel free to put baby clothes on your baby, wrap your baby in a blanket/cloth, put a pacifier in the baby’s mouth, add a hat, add eyes/mouth/hair, etc!
4.          Please send in a picture of your child as a baby.

5.          Don’t forget your baby needs to weigh what your child weighed when they were born.

* Your child may bring in items such as a bottle, pacifier, blanket, small stroller (doll size), etc. It would be best if you sent these items in a small bag so your child is able to keep up with these things. Each child will be responsible for all of their baby's items :)

* Friday we will be presenting our rice babies during chapel and reciting a poem.

It is going to be such a memorable week!
