Hi everyone! It is going to be a great week in first grade! We are starting our reading, math, and handwriting curriculum this week. This week we will be teaching the children the routines of these different programs. You will notice in your child's folder this week that this week we will begin our spelling words. We will have our first spelling test on Friday. I will pass out student binders on Tuesday at curriculum night. These binders will go home each night and come back to school the next day. (Don't forget curriculum night is Tuesday at 6:00). Tuesday is also picture day and the students need to wear their dress uniforms please. Just fyi....
I plan to be with our sweet first graders until the beginning of September. Mrs. Emily will then take over while I am on maternity leave :) She is FABULOUS and the kids love her! Her email is ebrown@sges.org
